Bishop Denise S. Wilson is a native of Middleburg, Virginia.  She is the eldest daughter of
Horace Marlow, Sr. and the late Shirley Tinner.  She is the Senior Pastor of The Rock
Christian Center in Falls Church, Virginia.


She accepted the Call to Ministry in September 2003 and has degrees in Biblical Studies and
Christian Education from Faith Christian University and a Master of Arts in Theology from
Newburgh Theological Seminary. In 2012, she received an honorary Doctorate degree from
the American Bible University. 


Bishop Wilson founded Wilson Ministry Foundation in 2005, a non-profit evangelistic
organization. In April 2010, she published her first book "Feed My Sheep" based on her
work in the Homeless ministry.  Her sophomore book, “You Can Begin Again” was published in
March 2018 and can be found both on amazon.com and denisewilson.org.


In June of 2008, she was honored as the first minister in the PreachingWoman.com
Kingdom Watch section as a “Preacher to Watch”.  She hosted the Heart to Heart segment of
“In the Cool of the Day”, a Fairfax Access Cable Station program.  She is the first female
President and the only President to be elected a second term of the Baptist Ministers
Conference of Northern Virginia and Vicinity, Past President of the Falls Church Community
Council Services and proud to be a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  She
was awarded the 2015 Community Service Award by the National Association of Negro
Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Incorporated.  She was consecrated a Bishop in
August 2022. In April 2023, she founded The Naomi Project International; A female clergy
mentoring ministry.
She has two daughters: Nykea McIntyre and Janae Strother.  She also has three grandsons,
Khalil, Korey, Kadir McIntyre, and a granddaughter, Quinn.
